Hi, I'm Lorenzo
I am a project manager, a parent, and an expat living in Milano, Italy.
A few years ago, I relocated here with my family. What began as a temporary contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Italy wasn't part of the long-term plan. Like many expat relocations, it began as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something much more significant.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, higher expectations. Daily tasks felt more convoluted than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and plenty of hands-on learning. Gradually, routines took shape. We found places that fit our needs, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Built Verge Praxis Field
Most information online was either corporate-level relocation advice or surface-level tourism material. What was missing was an honest, day-to-day family perspective.
This site is meant to close that gap — practical guidance based on real life in Italy.
What This Site Does (And Does Not)
This site is:
- Practical know-how from living in Italy
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated only when something truly changes
This site is NOT:
- Not a tourism authority resource
- A paid-review platform
- A generic travel blog
Looking Forward
Our stay in Italy continues, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I will keep recording what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Milano or anywhere in Italy, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Cheers,
Lorenzo
